To validate the performance of CUT-IT metal cutting paste, we commissioned Subsea Fluid Services to run an independent Falex Extreme Pressure Test. This industry-standard procedure measures a lubricant’s ability to protect metal under load.
The results? CUT-IT paste performed flawlessly, withstanding up to 2500 lbs of pressure over a 30-minute test period with no lubrication failures.

The Falex Pin & Vee Block Method is a recognised standard test for evaluating the extreme pressure performance of lubricants. It measures how well a lubricant prevents wear when metal is subjected to increasing loads.
In this test, CUT-IT cutting paste was applied to the Falex setup, starting with a 300 lb load. Every minute, the load was increased by 100 lbs. After 30 minutes, the test reached 2500 lbs of applied pressure — with no breakdown or lubrication failure.
These results confirm why CUT-IT performs so well in real-world drilling. Unlike thin oils that run off, CUT-IT’s paste formula clings to the drill bit, providing continuous protection against heat, friction, and pressure.
